As a side project to learn new editing software, I shot some footage during a vacation to Ireland on a dji Osmo camera and edited my first video using Premiere Pro.
As the Senior Art Director for the New Business Acquisition and Retention team for Staples Promotional Products, it was my responsibility to ideate, create and manage every aspect of the branding for our 2016 National Sales Meeting. This included developing concept boards, a logo, look and feel, brand guidelines and all products associated with the show. This also involved managing both internal and external design teams, approving artwork and working with various vendors on how the brand should be represented.
As a designer, instructor and stage hand for Quixotic Fusion I was responsible for managing and delivering a vast assortment of projects. I executed everything from billboards and annual event collateral to branding the Quixotic School of Performing Arts and creating apparel designs for both sides of the business. I also taught aerial and dance classes, choreographed full shows and designed and produced costuming for both the Quixotic performers and QSPA students.
A freelance assignment for Sporting Kansas City led to some of the apparel designs above. Based on the inspiration provided, we moved forward with the sayings "The Soccer Capital of America", "Je'taime Sporting" and "Creme de la Creme". When it comes to apparel design, I like to challenge existing capabilities, in this case, running the print screens all the way to the side seams of the shirts to make it appear as a custom cut-and-sew design.
As the Creative and Marketing Director of Lucia Aerial Performing Arts I was responsible for branding the aerial school, developing initial marketing and advertising materials and creating the look and feel, costuming and hair/makeup/accessories for future shows. I designed everything from the core business system to custom aerial apparatuses to fabricating costumes and accessories. I was also in charge of directing photo shoots for upcoming shows and general school promotion.
As the Senior Art Director for the New Business Acquisition and Retention team for Staples Promotional Products, I was asked to ideate on a show-stopping gate crasher that focused on the hottest trends and how they applied to the client. I partnered with my Senior Creative Merchandiser to brainstorm trends, and came up with an oversized packaging project. This "kit" was made up of a larger telescoping exterior box, with 5 individual trend boxes inside, all containing a unique item specific to that trend. The end result was very positively received and set a new bar for creative execution with our Senior leadership team.
As the Senior Art Director for Staples Promotional Products I'm responsible for a myriad of projects. My key role is to define and maintain the corporate brand, design and deliver highest priority projects like the annual Idea Books, Brand Guidelines and client RFP's and direct and manage photo shoots. I develop and manage marketing campaigns, help track success and redesign/retarget for future projects.
